I said - earnestly, I might add - that I wouldn't gossip any more about dating Harold Ford, Jr. or even marvel at the ridiculous direction of GOP attacks on him.  But then I saw this ad and read this NYT article.

Apart from the fact that it features some of the worst acting since I starred in the Georgetown University student film, "DogNap" ... WHAT'S WITH THE GIRL FROM THE PLAYBOY PARTY BEING UGLY????

Seriously, the NRSC couldn't find a single not-hideous not-nasally white girl in the entire country who would do their dirty work?  As much fun as oh-so-subtly accusing Ford of liking white girls is - it's not, to my knowledge, a good reason for voting against him, unless you're against miscegenation, which ... ohhhh ...  I get it now.

Nice job, Mehlman.

UPDATE!!  Rush Limbaugh comments on the ad, citing my blog as "evidence" that it's not racist.  As a friend of mine said "I like that Rush's whole point is to prove the ad is true because he did 'date a white woman!'  Oh that crazy half black guy!  He dated a white woman ... who knows what else he's done!"
